LA BOCAGERE, nature cottage, welcomes you to the Lot.
With a capacity of 4 people, this comfortable accommodation located in the heart of the Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy and on the Padirac-Rocamadour axis, welcomes you for a green family holiday. Committed to nature, the environment and eco-gestures, La Bocagère is labelled « Gite Panda ».

Immersed in the Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy and the bocage of Thégra village, in the heart of the hamlet of Pouzalgues, La Bocagère was once a barn typical of the local rural architecture, built around 1888.

Today, La Bocagère is an independent, comfortable and pleasantly decorated house, which has retained the charm of its exposed stonework and a green setting surrounded by low dry stone walls, among walnut trees. Its terrace facing East/South-East , decorated with a flower bed, invites you to stroll around and share the surrounding calm.

Resolutely turned towards nature and the respect of the environment, La Bocagère guides you for eco-responsible holidays.

Staying at La Bocagère means discovering the Lot in a different way, taking the time to observe, travelling on foot, and breathing the nature !

A word from Brigitte

Our Lot story begins in 2016. We fell in love with this fabulous region !

Coming from Normandy, François, my husband, and I realised a lifelong dream in Thégra: to live in a stone house in the countryside, far from the crowd.
We bought a large barn-shed and entrusted the renovation to a team of local architect and craftsmen for a first beautiful human and technical adventure. At the beginning of 2019, we are looking for a "barnette" to turn it into a gite, and the small paths lead us to La Bocagère.

Following the sudden death of François, in September 2019, I am continuing this project alone, encouraged by my children, and accompanied, for the work, by the same architect-craftsmen team. I am more convinced than ever that I want to share my happiness of the Lot, and pass on my love for a small local producer, for a pretty rural building, for a Saint Namphaise lake, for all the riches of the Dordogne: its exceptionally coloured cliffs, its aquatic anemones that dragonflies come to fly over, for the hoopoe observed at the bend of a small path, for the starry skies, for all the secrets hidden by this limestone subsoil, for the traces of the passage of Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens on these Lot lands...
After a long career as Export Manager for companies in the confectionery-chocolate industry, I am now a young retiree, available to listen to you, advise you, share your emotions, and make your holiday a very « Lot » one !
